AuctionNovice Posted 22/08/2024 Share Posted 22/08/2024 Anyone have experience buying from NC Repo Zone? Thinking about checking out their auctions, but curious about what to expect.
RepoRookie Posted 22/08/2024 Share Posted 22/08/2024 I've bought a couple of cars from NC Repo Zone. It's been a mixed bag tbh. The auction process is pretty straightforward, but the cars are sold as-is, so inspect carefully. Their website is ncrepozone.com, which has auction listings. GearHeadGreg Posted 23/08/2024 Share Posted 23/08/2024 As a mechanic, I've seen some cars from NC Repo Zone. You gotta be quick on the inspection; they give you a limited time. Found some real gems but also some with hidden issues. Bring a flashlight and a buddy. Always check for frame damage.
TitleTamer Posted 23/08/2024 Share Posted 23/08/2024 Title transfers can take a while. I bought a truck and it took about a month to get the title, which was stressful. They say they'll help to ensure it's a clean title, but don't expect miracles. Call their support team if you need help: +1 866-930-3429
BargainHunter Posted 23/08/2024 Share Posted 23/08/2024 I've had great luck at their auctions. Snagged a nearly new SUV for way below market value. Check the online listings frequently. NC Repo Zone emails auction updates to their subscribers.
AuctionFlipper Posted 24/08/2024 Share Posted 24/08/2024 NC Repo Zone is decent for flipping. Prices are usually competitive. Know your max bid before you go and stick to it. They also offer financing options, but read the fine print. Email info@ncrepozone.com if you have questions.
FirstTimeBuyer Posted 24/08/2024 Share Posted 24/08/2024 My first time, I didn't realize how fast-paced the bidding is. Missed out on a car I really wanted. Try to go early to get a feel for the place and the process. Watch a couple of auctions before you bid.
BudgetWheels Posted 24/08/2024 Share Posted 24/08/2024 For budget-conscious shoppers like me, NC Repo Zone is great if you are prepared. I’ve found some reliable cars at a fraction of retail. Expect a bit more work though.
CarCollector Posted 25/08/2024 Share Posted 25/08/2024 I'm always looking for specific makes/models. NC Repo Zone sometimes has some rare finds. The trick is knowing the market value and what issues you're willing to address.
BurnedOnce Posted 25/08/2024 Share Posted 25/08/2024 I got burned at another auction. A car that was advertised 'accident-free' turned out to have major frame damage. NC Repo Zone does seem better, but inspect everything, and don't trust the descriptions completely.
MechanicMike Posted 25/08/2024 Share Posted 25/08/2024 I've gone to a few auctions. One thing I'd advise is to check the fluids: oil, transmission, etc. Those details will tell a story. And factor in the auction fees, they can add up quickly, so read the terms and conditions on the website!
RepoRegular Posted 26/08/2024 Share Posted 26/08/2024 NC Repo Zone is one of the better ones in NC. They seem to have a solid process, generally better vehicles than some of the fly-by-night operations. Still, buyer beware! Thorough inspection is VERY important. KnowItAll Posted 26/08/2024 Share Posted 26/08/2024 I've been to many car auctions. The key to success is doing your homework ahead of time. Research the car's value, check for recalls, then assess the car at the auction. They often have a vehicle history report available, at least at NC Repo Zone. FinanceGuy Posted 26/08/2024 Share Posted 26/08/2024 Financing repo cars can be tricky. Many lenders won't touch them. NC Repo Zone has partnerships, so explore those. Make sure that your finances are in order before you bid. Know what interest rates and terms that you're eligible for.
HiddenDamage Posted 27/08/2024 Share Posted 27/08/2024 Bought a car there, thought I’d gotten a deal. Found out later the engine had been damaged and they didn't disclose it. Be careful, and I guess, assume the worst unless u can see otherwise.
NCExpert Posted 27/08/2024 Share Posted 27/08/2024 I've been using NC Repo Zone for a few years now. Overall, a pretty good experience. They’re upfront. I would definitely suggest getting a vehicle inspection before you bid. Also, ask to see the title ahead of time to give you peace of mind. DealSeekr Posted 27/08/2024 Share Posted 27/08/2024 I scored big time at an NC Repo Zone auction last month. Got a practically new truck for thousands less than the market price. It needed a detail and a minor repair and it was good to go.
RepoAgent Posted 28/08/2024 Share Posted 28/08/2024 Used to work the repo business. NC Repo Zone is legit compared to a lot of the back-alley ones. Still always a gamble on the car condition though. Contact them if you need to at +1 866-930-3429. Make sure you do your due diligence.
AuctionNewbie Posted 28/08/2024 Share Posted 28/08/2024 I went to an NC Repo Zone auction last week with high hopes and I was disappointed. The descriptions were a bit misleading, and some cars looked worse in person. But I guess that's the risk with these types of auctions.
CarFlippa Posted 28/08/2024 Share Posted 28/08/2024 I flip a LOT of cars. NC Repo Zone is a staple for me. They got solid volume, so there’s always potential to find a deal. I recommend signing up for auction alerts on their website – ncrepozone.com.
InspectionPro Posted 29/08/2024 Share Posted 29/08/2024 I offer pre-purchase inspections. They are worth the cost at NC Repo Zone auctions. Seen too many people get burned. I can often spot issues fast. It’s an investment that can save you big.
RepoVet Posted 29/08/2024 Share Posted 29/08/2024 Been doing this for years. NC Repo Zone is generally upfront and fair. Their fees are somewhat standard for the auction business. If you got questions, call them. Just be sure to do your homework.
